Running Program

My boyfriend and I have started a running program. I have always wanted to be a runner but have never truly been able to make it happen. So millionth times a charm right? lol

Well we are doing this Couch to 5km training program and by the end of 9 weeks is to be able to run 5km. Yowsa. Since winter has decided to never leave toronto, we are doing the tredmill version which you can view here:

Today is Monday and the start of week 2 for me and so far so good! I am loving this as it goes very fast having to switch it up constantly. It makes it go by so quickly! I worry that once i hit the run for 30minute straight I might get bored, but hopefully i can power through! We are aiming to run a 5k outdoors this October, which I think is a doable goal for beginners. Once the weather gets nicer (if that happens) I want to start doing the runs outside, as it is harder to run outside then on a tredmill. But the tredmill is for sure good training!

    Kelly! This is awesome! You have a great goal! There is a great 5km run in Ottawa, it is super fun you can run or walk it with 10,000 other people! Just a thought! http://www.ncm.ca/
